The FBI report labels the Juggalos as a "loosely organized hybrid gang," although that description isn't part of the most recent national report on gangs.

Juggalos say their reputations have suffered because they have jewelry or tattoos with the group's symbol, a man running with a hatchet.

The lawsuit was dismissed last week. The Insane Clown Posse is Joseph Bruce, known as Violent J, and Joseph Utsler, known as Shaggy 2 Dope.

Tue, 08 Jul 2014 16:30:00 +0000 The Associated Press 18290 at http://michiganradio.org Music duo Insane Clown Posse loses gang lawsuit Flint is now only the 2nd most violent city in America http://michiganradio.org/post/flint-now-only-2nd-most-violent-city-america
Flint is no longer the most violent city in America – barely.

Flint has topped the FBI’s list of cities of 100,000 or more for per capita violent crime for three years.

But FBI statistics for the first six months of 2013 show Oakland, California has passed Flint, though by a very small margin.

Flint Police Chief James Tolbert credits a 26% drop in murders, robberies, and aggravated assault on the public stepping forward to provide much-needed information on crimes in the city.

Thu, 20 Feb 2014 03:28:40 +0000 Steve Carmody 16519 at http://michiganradio.org Flint is now only the 2nd most violent city in America The week in Michigan politics: Medicaid expansion, violent crime, Detroit bankruptcy mediation http://michiganradio.org/post/week-michigan-politics-medicaid-expansion-violent-crime-detroit-bankruptcy-mediation

This week in Michigan politics Jack Lessenberry and Christina Shockley discuss the Medicaid expansion, crime rates in Detroit and Flint and the mediation of Detroit’s bankruptcy.

Wed, 18 Sep 2013 12:06:14 +0000 Jack Lessenberry, Christina Shockley & Emily Fox 14470 at http://michiganradio.org The week in Michigan politics: Medicaid expansion, violent crime, Detroit bankruptcy mediation Snyder: FBI crime stats show more work needed in Detroit, Flint, Saginaw http://michiganradio.org/post/snyder-fbi-crime-stats-show-more-work-needed-detroit-flint-saginaw
Governor Rick Snyder says new FBI crime numbers show there’s still work to be done to make Michigan cities safer.

Flint and Detroit topped the FBI’s list of most-dangerous cities, which is based on 2011 data.

But Governor Snyder says the state’s been aggressive about public safety, especially in Detroit, where violent crime rates have improved.
Tue, 17 Sep 2013 22:55:49 +0000 Rick Pluta 14466 at http://michiganradio.org Snyder: FBI crime stats show more work needed in Detroit, Flint, Saginaw In this morning’s news: Detroit primary recount, ACLU suit, and the Occupiers http://michiganradio.org/post/morning-s-news-detroit-primary-recount-aclu-suit-and-occupiers
State of Michigan will re-count Detroit ballots
A state election panel will be tasked with certifying the results from the Detroit mayoral primary.
