(“Fiat”) approved a corporate reorganization and the formation of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (“FCA”) as a fully-integrated global automaker...</span></p><p>In order to establish a true peer to the major global automotive groups, in both scale and capital market appeal, the Board has decided to establish Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V., organized in the Netherlands, as the parent company of the Group. FCA’s common shares will be listed in New York and Milan.</p></blockquote><p><span style="line-height: 1.5;">The newly formed company's stock will be traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Current Fiat shareholders will receive one share of&nbsp;FCA&nbsp;for each Fiat share they're holding.</span></p><p>The newly named company released its new logo as well today. Fiat gradually raised its ownership by meeting performance goals and buying the government&#39;s stake in Chrysler.</p><p>Chrysler said early Thursday that a pre-production version of the new Dodge Dart compact got 40 mpg in testing by the Environmental Protection Agency in late December. Full testing for the mileage sticker that will go on the Dart&#39;s window has not been finished. The window sticker testing is done under different standards and could be lower than 40 mpg.</p></blockquote><p>The AP reports that the added 5 percent comes from a UAW trust fund that pays for retiree health care. After giving up the five percent, that fund still owns 41.5 percent of Chrysler.</p><p><a href="http://rumors.automobilemag.com/2013-dodge-dart-returns-40-mpg-combined-fiat-buys-more-of-chrysler-98545.html">Automobile Magazine</a> has more on the Dart, which will be built Belvidere, Illinois:</p><blockquote><p>Engine choices will comprise two &ldquo;Tigershark&rdquo; inline-fours displacing 2.0 and 2.4 liters, as well as a turbocharged 1.4-liter MultiAir inline-four. Fiat has run the company since it emerged from bankruptcy protection in June 2009.</p><p>Treasury provided a total of $12.5 billion to Chrysler and its financing arm after the recession hampered auto sales and sent Chrysler and General Motors to the brink of collapse. The funds came from the government&#39;s $700 billion bank bailout fund.</p><p>Since then, $11.2 billion of the assistance has been repaid, Treasury says. Chrysler repaid $5.1 billion in loans from the government in May. Treasury said it likely won&#39;t recover the remaining $1.3 billion.
