Livingston County en Livingston sheriff complains of jail overcrowding <p>HOWELL, Mich. (AP) - Sheriff Bob Bezotte says overcrowding has forced the Livingston County Jail to sleep some female inmates on the floor of a small cell with a single toilet.<br /><br />The Livingston County Daily Press &amp; Argus of Howell reports Saturday that Bezotte sent an email and photo showing the sleeping conditions to county commissioners.<br /><br />The newspaper says it received the email and photo Friday through the Freedom of Information Act.<br /> Sat, 07 Dec 2013 18:28:00 +0000 The Associated Press 15593 at Livingston County is getting a pinball museum <p>Clay Harrell has made s<span style="line-height: 1.5;">aving pinball machines from the scrap heap&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height: 1.5;">his mission.</span></p><p>He has been collecting, repairing, and restoring pinball machines -- rescuing unwanted old machines and bringing them back to their former glory.</p><p>Now he&rsquo;s moving his formidable pinball collection into a vacant VFW Hall in Green Oak Township in Livingston County. (AP) - Authorities are linking the shooting of a motorist driving along Interstate 96 in Livingston County to a string of shootings across southeastern Michigan.<br><br>Sheriff Bob Bezotte told WWJ-AM the man was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after being shot in the hip by a bullet that came through the driver's-side door. (AP) - The Oakland County sheriff says authorities are investigating at least 16 shootings for any common threads in many Michigan communities.<br><br>Sheriff Mike Bouchard says no one has been injured but there have been "some very close calls." He told reporters Friday that cars and people appear to be the targets. Shootings have been reported in Oakland, Livingston and Ingham counties.<br><br>Bouchard says the shootings occurred Tuesday through Thursday.
