silver carp http://michiganradio.org en Crews find 20 new positive eDNA hits for Asian carp in Lake Erie http://michiganradio.org/post/crews-find-20-new-positive-edna-hits-asian-carp-lake-erie <p>There’s new evidence that Asian carp could be in western Lake Erie.</p><p>Last month, crews took 150 water samples from Sandusky Bay and the Sandusky River.&nbsp; They were testing for traces of genetic material from Asian carp. The invasive carp could threaten native Great Lakes fish populations.</p><p>Fishermen spent three days last week sweeping a six mile stretch around Lake Calumet, near Chicago.
