Amazon's coming to Livonia, and it's bringing over 1,000 jobs.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation tweeted out this news early Tuesday morning, saying Amazon plans to build a product fulfillment center in October 2017.

The Detroit Free Press's Matthew Dolanreports the Michigan Strategic Fund provided a $7.5 million grant for the Amazon project.

MEDC tweeted out more details about the deal.

"We're proud to welcome Amazon to Livonia and applaud the collaboration that took place to bring this significant capital investment and new, well-paying jobs to our community," said Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans according to Fox 2 WJBK.

Livonia Mayor Dennis K. Wright's also quoted as supporting the center.

CBS Detroit reports 277 Amazon employees currently exist in the state.
