How our sense of smell is central to who we are

Jun 24, 2016

Let's talk about our sense of smell.

Smells can evoke memories, tell us about our surroundings, and influence our mood.

And, according to Michelle Krell Kydd, smells can help people feel a sense of community.

Kydd is an expert on flavors and fragrances, and the editor of the blog Glass Petal Smoke. It's about her endeavors into the world of smell.

She gave a talk on the sense of smell at the 2015 TEDxUofM conference:

Kydd joined us on today's Stateside to talk about our sense of smell and how it influences our day-to-day lives.
