We made it to ArtPrize. Did you?

Did you see anything that made you rethink the meaning of "art?"

Which artwork made you think, "Hmph. I could do that. Maybe I'll enter next year"?

In case you missed it, here's some of our coverage from the annual public art event held in Grand Rapids.

Steve Carmody's been covering ArtPrize from beginning to end.

Kate Wellstalked with ArtPrize visitors to get a sense of how the festival has changed visitors'perceptionsof art.

Arts and culture reporter Kyle Norriscovered the live evolution of Andre Sandifer and Abir Ali's interactive piece, The Last Supper. Around 10,000 peoplecarved messages – from the poignant to the banal – into the surface of Ali and Sandifer's 30-foot walnut table.

And we even happened upon on artwork inspired by Sarah Alvarez's Detroit 1971 busing series. Artist Leslie Bolyardcites the State of Opportunity series on desegregation 40 years later as inspiration for his iron sculpture.
