Next week on Mismatch, you'll hear a Romeo and Juliet tale involving the heir to the Dodge Motor Company.

Things don't always fit together neatly. Life would be really boring if they did.

"I've always believed that just regular folks have the best stories to tell," Weber said.

That's the driving idea behind a new podcast called Mismatch– "stories of the incompatible, the unsuitable, and the out-of-step."

The podcast will air during Stateside’s normal time slot (3-4 p.m. and 10-11 p.m.) on Monday, Feb. 26 and on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

It's written and hosted by Roger Weber and produced by Zak Rosen. Weber was a reporter for WDIV-TV for 37 years before retiring in 2015.

Listen above to hear Stateside host Cynthia Canty talk with Weber, her old friend, about how he came up with the idea for Mismatch, how the podcast medium differs from TV, and the kind of stories the program covers.

Stateside will return on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
