Lt. Governor Brian Calley is leading a trade delegation to South America this weekend.

The intent of the trip is to meet with local leaders and avoid an erupting volcano.

The trade delegation is traveling to Chile and Colombia.

Michigan exports more than $200 million worth of products to both countries.

Meanwhile, a massive volcano eruption has disrupted parts of Chile.

A spokesman does not expect it will affect the trade trip.
