Michigan Radio has been named a finalist for nine awards in the Michigan Associated Press Media Editors 2015 radio and television contest. The awards in actual order of finish - first or second - will be announced at the annual Michigan APME annual awards banquet May 22 in Lansing. The General Excellence and First Amendment award winners also will be announced at that time.
Sixteen broadcasters submitted 218 entries in the contest, which featured news, sports and weather reporting as well as features, documentaries and photography from 2015.
