Michigan Radio to sponsor events with Michigan candidates

Michigan Radio is teaming up with The Center for Michigan and MLive Media Group to bring voters a series of unique events this election season.

Ballot Bash 2014 will give voters the chance to watch live and in person as Michigan’s candidates for Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State and U.S. Senate answer questions from the statewide M Live editorial board. They will also be able to hear perspectives on the election with political reporters from Michigan Radio, The Center for Michigan and M Live Media Group.

There will be three evening events — one each in Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Royal Oak.  The format will be upbeat, with live music and refreshments. Michigan Radio News Director Vincent Duffy will serve as emcee for the events.

Although the events are free, advance registration will be required and tickets will be necessary to gain entry. Registration is available by following the links shown below.

Following the candidate interviews, there will be a media panel discussion that will include questions from the audience.
