Michiganders are voting (and public officials are encouraging it)

Courtesy Michigan Radio

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that today is Election Day. Voters today will decide on a President, members of Congress, state legislators and various ballot proposals.

With our votes having so much weight, some Michigan residents posted about the day on social media.

Some took to Instagram with hashtags like #MichiganVoter and #MichiganVotes to show they voted (and sported voting stickers).

Some notable Michigan figures also took to Twitter to discuss voting.

Michigan Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley highlighted how many people he noticed voting.

Other public officials, like Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, Governor Rick Snyder and University of Michigan President Mark Schlissel encouraged everyone to vote.

And of course the Secretary of State is sending a message to vote.

And if you still want to vote (but haven't yet), here's where you can find out where to vote
