President Obama was in Michigan today as part of a tour of battleground states. The president is trying to drum up support for Hillary Clinton and the rest of the Democratic ticket on the day before Election Day.

Obama spoke to a crowd of about 9,000 people at the University of Michigan. He told first-time voters in the audience that this year has been a strange one in politics. The president said he’s been frustrated by a lot of the news coverage of the campaign.

“There’s a bunch of it that has not been on the level,” he said. “But I want to tell you something right now. The way campaigns have unfolded, we just start accepting crazy stuff as normal.”

The president said people should not be so frustrated they don’t vote.

He said the nation’s economic recovery is at stake in tomorrow’s election.

“I think we’ve earned some credibility here,” Obama told the crowd. “So, when I tell you that Donald Trump is not the guy who’s going to look out for you, you need to listen. Do not be bamboozled.”

The president says the domestic auto industry and manufacturing have rebounded on his watch.

Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump both have stops scheduled today  in Grand Rapids as the campaign wraps up.
