- Three years ago, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office opened its first satellite office in Detroit. Director Christal Sheppard joins us to talk about why Detroit was the perfect location, and how they hope to help innovators and entrepreneurs in the region.
- The federal government estimates that there are nearly 50,000 vets who are homeless on any given night. The reasons they're homeless are many, but underlying it all is a lack of family or social support network. With that in mind, a Detroit high school wants to make sure that homeless vets are not alone for their final journey.
- 60 Days. That’s how long Universities are SUPPOSED to take to investigate sexual assault cases. But, at Michigan State University, those investigations can drag on for 7, 8, even 9 months. A recent federal report slammed MSU for taking too long to resolve sexual assault cases. Kate Wells and Joe Linstroth report.
