The six ballot proposals facing Michigan Voters

Yesterday was the deadline for the Michigan Board of State Canvassers to decide whether several ballot proposals should go on the November ballot.

Some made the ballot, some didn't.

MPRN's Rick Pluta covered the action at the State Board of Canvassers yesterday. Here's his list of where he tells us the seven ballot proposals now stand.

Repeal emergency manager law:

• Language approved

Collective bargaining:

• Provisionally on the ballot (appeal to Michigan Supreme Court pending)
• Language approved

25 by '25 renewable energy:

• On the ballot
• Language approved

Home health care workers unionization:

• On the ballot
• Language approved

Tax hike supermajority:

• Appeal pending before the Michigan Supreme Court
• Language provisionally approved

Casino expansion:

• Appeal pending before the Michigan Supreme Court

Future bridge and tunnel vote:

• Appeal pending before the Michigan Supreme Court

All ballot proposals must be finalized before absentee ballots are mailed out 45 days before the election.

*An earlier version of this post showed some appeals going to the Michigan Court of Appeals. Those appeals will now be argued before the Michigan Supreme Court. The post has been updated.
