After a round of negotiations lasting six days, a tentative agreement has been reached between the Detroit Casino Council and Detroit's three casinos - MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity and Greektown.
The new contract would cover approximately 7,000 workers.
The Detroit Casino Council and the casinos began contract negotiations on Aug. 24.
The previous contract expired on Oct. 16, at which time the Union Negotiating Committee and Greektown, MGM Grand and MotorCity agreed to extend the contract until Oct. 26 to continue working towards an agreement, according to an update on Unite Here Local 24's website.
Key issues have included health coverage, wage increases and bonuses.

Detroit leaders have kept a close eye on the labor deal because the casinos are a huge source of tourism and tax revenue for the city.
Informational meetings and contract ratification votes will be scheduled this week.
A union representative could not immediately be reached for comment Monday.
