The top 10 high schools in Michigan (according to two magazines)

Seven Michigan high schools received "gold medals" from the U.S. News Best High Schools 2013 rankings. 68 high schools received "silver medals," and 131 received "bronze medals."

Here's their top ten:

  2. City Middle/High School, Grand Rapids, MI
  3. Frankenmuth High School, Frankenmuth, MI
  4. Grosse Point South High School, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI
  5. Ernest W. Seaholm High School, Birmingham, MI
  6. East Lansing High School, East Lansing, MI
  7. Okemos High School, Okemos, MI
  8. Troy High School, Troy, MI
  9. West Senior High School, Traverse City, MI
  10. Spring Lake High School, Spring Lake, MI

  • 826 high schools,
  • 26,045 full time teachers,
  • and 515,235 enrolled students,

Newsweek released its list of rankings for the state of Michigan this week. The schools were ranked nationally.

The two magazines agree on four high schools for their top ten. (International Academy, Troy High School, Okemos High School, and Earnest W. Seaholm High School).
