VIDEO: An 'apex hunter' rides to the rescue in Asian carp battle
By Mark Brush
Shark Week, schmark week.
It's Asian Carp Week here at Michigan Radio!
All week long, The Environment Report has been bringing us stories about Asian Carp & the Great Lakes.
We're heard about hydrologic separation, electric barriers, and chain-link fences as ways of keeping the carp out of the Great Lakes.
But we've overlooked one important predator, and we bring it to you now.
The Peoria Carp Hunters are out on the Illinois River and its tributaries doing battle with Silver Carp.
We can all rest easy now.
