This week, former Michigan State University sports Dr. Larry Nassar was sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison for sexually assaulting women and girls under the guise of medical treatment. Two top MSU officials have since resigned, and investigationsinto the school are stacking up.

This Week in Review, Weekend Edition host Rebecca Kruth and senior news analyst Jack Lessenberry discuss what could be just the beginningof MSU's troubles.

They also discuss an appeals court ruling that says Flint residents can sue the state over the water crisis, John Conyers III's bid for the congressional seat his father vacated last month, and a House-approved bill that would let Michigan taxpayers continue to claim the personal income tax exemption.

Rebecca Kruth is the host of All Things Considered at Michigan Public. She also co-hosts Michigan Public's weekly language podcast That’s What They Say with English professor Anne Curzan.
