Democrat Dale Kildee of Flint plans to run for a 19th term in Congress. Spokeswoman Erin Donar said Wednesday that Kildee "always planned to run again." The 81-year-old congressman joins fellow longtime Michigan Democrats John Dingell and John Conyers in saying they're going to seek re-election in 2012. Kildee defeated Republican John Kupiec this past November, earning 53 percent of the vote to 44 percent for his challenger, a businessman from Grand Blanc. Kildee represents the 5th District, which includes all of Genesee and Tuscola counties and parts of Bay and Saginaw counties.
