WLUC-TV reports the DNR has responded to dozens nuisance bear complaints so far this year as bears are on the move. The agency says that adult bears have been moving in mating season while younger bears are looking to find their own territory.

DNR wildlife specialist Kevin Swanson says there's "a lot of traveling going on." He says the DNR typically doesn't trap bears unless they're a recurring problem.

The DNR says homeowners should contact the agency if they have taken down bird feeders, removed trash and eliminated other food sources and bears are still causing property damage or acting aggressively. In such cases, the DNR may decide to trap and remove the bear.
