An Australian-based festival, Laneway is making its way to the States for the first time in its nearly decade-long span. According to a press release, Laneway co-founder Danny Rogers said Detroit’s changing cultural atmosphere made choosing the location for the U.S. debut a no-brainer.

“Detroit is having its rebirth and as Laneway continues to evolve, we can identify with a city that continuing to evolve as well,” Rogers said. “It seemed like a great fit and this lineup seals it.”

Tickets go on sale May 14 at 10am. Regular ticket prices start at $79.50 in advance, while a limited number of early bird packages will be sold for $64.50.

For more details, check out Laneway’s website.
