  • Everyone says a dog is a man’s best friend. The Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan is a program that works to save shelter dogs from being euthanized by pairing them with trainers. These trainers also happen to be prisoners. The RPSM’s Correctional Companion Program places dogs with specially trained inmates like Martin Daughenbaugh.
