Michigan Radio - WUOM, the NPR News and Information public broadcasting service at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, is seeking a Program Director, responsible for the overall supervision of broadcast and online programming content, format and sound.

Job Summary:

Michigan Radio serves the major metropolitan areas of the state of Michigan with our radio stations: WUOM in Ann Arbor/Detroit, WVGR- Grand Rapids and WFUM- Flint. This senior management position supervises a 32 person broadcast and content staff: including News Director, Operations Manager, Social Media Director plus hosts, producers and intern staff. The Program Director reports to the Executive Director/General Manager.  The Program Director develops plans, policies, goals and objectives for the programming and content of the station, and works collaboratively with other departments, to achieve success throughout the public broadcasting organization.

Position title: State Capitol Correspondent

Purpose of position:  The state Capitol Correspondent is responsible for reporting news stories for use by stations within the Michigan Association of Public Broadcasting. The MAPB is seeking an experienced multi-platform journalist to cover the state legislature, state government and politics.
